Rules

  1. The Red Club & The Enclave Secret Society is a Maledom-themed Venue. This means the role-players play characters that are generally Male Dominant or Female Submissive roles. If you identify out of character (OOC) as a Domme, Switch, or Male Submissive, you must be willing to play a character that is in alignment with the maledom theme.

  2. The Red Club and The Enclave Secret Society is a role-play venue and therefore it is expected that those playing roles in The Enclave Secret Society always be in character (IC). To that end, please observe the following guidelines:

    • The Landing Point of The Red Club is a safe zone. This is to allow people time to read the rules and dress in compliance with the dress code.

    • If you are new and visiting as a Guest at The Red Club, you are more than welcome to simply socialize and observe but you are highly encouraged to participate in the role-play particularly if you plan to apply for a role in The Enclave Secret Society.

    • Always remember, role-play actions have role-play consequences the role you play today may not be the role you play tomorrow based on your actions.

    • If you are actively role-playing and you must post something in local chat OOC, use brackets ((_)) to indicate that what you are saying is meant to be OOC.

    • Any OOC events will be announced as such. During an OOC event, the room where the event is hosted will be open to OOC local chat. Everywhere else in the venue, you must remain IC.

  3. No bloodlines and no bite requests.

  4. No use of particle effects or gestures.

  5. No heavy scripted items such as attached pets or face lights. If you are asked by the Owner or an Advocate to reduce your script count you must comply or risk being banned from the sim temporarily on the first warning and permanently thereafter.

  6. No talking body parts in local chat (Xcite!, Dirty Secrets Slappers, etc..) Please disable any features that post text to local chat when in use).

  7. No child avatars. Absolutely no age-play of any kind. Anyone caught with this type of behavior will be banned and reported to Linden Labs. If the Owner or a Moderator asks you to change your appearance, please do so at once.

  8. This is a text role-play sim. Use of voice in the local voice channel is prohibited with the exception of special events where permission to use voice will be expressly communicated. If you have a need to voice with someone or a group, do a direct call or use a 3rd party voice solution such as Discord. We have our own Discord Server for The Red Club and The Enclave Secret Society and everyone is highly encouraged to use it.

  9. The venue is a no-fly zone.

  10. There are many RLV-enabled devices throughout the venue. Use of RLV is permitted and encouraged for consensual role-play purposes. By entering the venue with RLV enabled, you are consenting to its use by anyone who has access to your collar or RLV-Relay enabled device. With that said, some RLV relay-enabled devices have the ability to capture any avatar wearing an RLV-enabled device without the wearer's permission. We ask that no one force anyone onto a device without first obtaining their consent OOCly.

  11. Role-players who have selected a specific role to play, aside from Guests, should wear the appropriate group tag while role-playing. The following are the tags for the associated roles:

  •  "[The Red Club]" group: (Use when in The Red Club)

    • Guests - "[TRC Guest]

    • Gentlemen - "[TRC VIP]"

    • Servants|Companions - "[TRC Dancer]"

    • Hostesses - "[TRC Hostess]"

    • Agents - "[TRC Manager]"

  •  "[The Enclave]" group: (Use when entering the VIP Lounge or the other areas Behind the Scenes)

    • Gentlemen- "[Enclave Gentleman]"

    • Companions - "[Enclave Companion]"

    • Hostesses - "[Enclave Hostess]"

    • Agents - "[Enclave Agent]"

    • Servants - "[Enclave Servant]"

  1. When in role-play, do not mix IC with OOC in local chat. If engaged in role-playing, take any OOC conversations to IM.

  2. Meta-gaming is prohibited. Information obtained through OOC means such as IMs, SL profile information, notecards containing OOC information, etc...should not be used in role-playing unless the information was revealed through role-playing.

  3. Power gaming is prohibited. Forcing your role-play upon someone else without giving them a proper chance to respond should not be done. This can sometimes happen when we have a certain agenda or goal in mind for our role-play and want to see it get to that point but we also have to remember that the role-play involves more than just ourselves. Obviously, in certain types of situations, the other player will not be able to really "avoid" your actions, especially in 'captured' or other forms of non-consensual based role-play. Understand that when you agree to this type of role-playing as the captured or submitted side you may be allowing yourself to be 'controlled' to an extent. If this becomes a problem please address that with your role-play partner. See OOC Rules regarding the use of RLV.

  4. Do not use thought emotes passive-aggressively. No one can read your mind. This makes it difficult to respond to or interact with people writing out their 'thoughts' particularly if the writing is targeted to individuals as insulting or provoking another player OOCly. As a result, anything you post to local chat may be considered to be spoken aloud and may be responded to accordingly. That said, thought emotes can be used to convey in-character thoughts and feelings relevant to telling your story and helping to develop your character's personality.

  5. AWAY FROM KEYBOARD (AFK): There are times when it is necessary for people to be away from their keyboards while still logged into Second Life. Please observe the following guidelines when going AFK.

    • Gentlemen, Companions, and Guests generally do not need to do anything special when AFKing though it is encouraged to change your group title to indicate if you are AFK.

    • Servants should AFK in the VIP Lounge (on a pedestal), The Pens, or The Servants Quarters.

    • Agents should AFK as posted guards near the various entrances and elevators or in The Agency offices.

  6. The Owner of the venue reserves the right to add/change/remove these rules at any time. An effort will be made to notify everyone when changes occur, however it is your responsibility to know the rules.
